Birthdays are special days at NFCNS. Your child’s birthday celebration will be scheduled into one of the days on the snack calendar. If your child has a summer birthday, we will select a day to celebrate their “half-birthday” in a special way.
In lieu of a traditional snack that day, we will provide a 100% fruit Popsicle for every child for every child. Due to allergy and nutritional concerns, we no longer allow birthday treats to be brought into the school.
Other ideas for parents to help make for a special day at school:
- Bring in your child’s favorite book and read it to the class.
- Bring in your child’s favorite music to listen to during class.
- Plan to join your child during class to talk about the day they were born or a special memory.
- Purchase something from your teacher’s classroom “Wish List”.
